Plymouth Marine Network and Devon & Plymouth Chamber of Commerce wanted to combine efforts to ensure their members who are interested in the marine industry would have an opportunity at the earliest stage to meet the key personnel responsible for taking forward and developing Plymouth Sound National Marine Park and Plymouth and South Devon Freeport.

It will be great to see interested parties from both the Chamber and Plymouth Marine Network come together and have the opportunity to find out more and ask questions about these two projects. Plymouth Marine Network is extremely grateful for the efforts by Devon and Plymouth Chamber in taking the lead organising this event.

With thanks to our sponsors TS Partners for their support in making this happen and to the National Marine Aquarium for their ongoing support of the Plymouth Marine Network and the Chamber.

Our headline speakers for this event are key to both important projects:

Elaine Hayes, Interim CEO at Plymouth’s National Marine Park
Richard May, SRO for the Plymouth and South Devon Freeport will update on the progress of the Freeport following submission of the Full Business Case in April, how the Freeport will benefit the local economy and how businesses of all sizes can be involved in the Freeport, either directly or via the considerable supply chain opportunities it presents.
Plymouth Marine Network is a local group with a presence on Facebook and Linkedin and over 900 members. It was formed over 5 years ago to bring together anyone in the Plymouth locality with an interest in the marine industry whether it be leisure, commercial, science, technical or environmental.

Until Covid struck group members met three times a year. This will be the first event since 2019 and we hope there will be a great attendance from Plymouth Marine Network members and Devon and Plymouth Chamber of Commerce.
